Tasting notes
| Clear pale garnet with very slight browning at rim. On opening very overpowering alcohol both on nose and palate. Decanted 2 hours, nose opened up, complex and intense, cherries, raspberries, wood shavings, cloves, incense. Palate has strawberries and raspberries but also a perfumed Earl Grey tea note and some spice to round everything off. Medium acidity and firm but silky tannin. Long finish, liquorice and cola cubes. Evolved beautifully over the evening. Really enjoyed this. |
