Tasting notes
| Clear medium ruby. Quite intense nose, lots of dark fruit, black cherry, blackberry, plums, tobacco, ginger, sandalwood, incense. Palate has the dark fruits and a touch of chocolate but less of the spiciness - perhaps a bit of pepper? Grippy dusty tannins, medium acidity, body a little thin than you would expect given the rest of the wine, slightly astringent finish. Good but not great, decent considering the price though. |
