Tasting notes
| Clear pale gold. Lovely nose, sugared pastry (like a gaufre), double cream, creme pat, brioche, dried raisins - a tea cake? - almond and vanilla. A suggestion of a banana? Palate beautifully creamy, melted vanilla ice cream, an underlying chalkiness though to stop it becoming sickly and overpowering, and just the right amount of acidity to keep it all together. Long finish fading into soft sweet lemons. Drinking perfectly - what a shame this is the last bottle! |
