Tasting notes
| Definitely at the end of its life! Colour now deep gold verging on a light brown. Nose a little muted and no fruit at all - all caramel and nuts instead. Palate follows but also has a hint of brown apple and more burnt sugar rather than silky caramel from the nose, feels very autumnal. Acidity fading but still just about supporting things, medium length finish, butterscotch and hazelnuts, definitely whispering rather than shouting. |
