Tasted side by side with Les Murgers des Dents de Chien and Sur le Sentier du Clou. Clear pale lemon. Medium(+) nose, toast, smoke, sandalwood, herbs, very complex and perfumed. Palate has citrus and Granny Smith apples, still quite a lot of fruit, backed up by some prominent notes of stone and struck match. Medium(+) acidity makes it feel crisp and mouthwatering. Medium(-) body. Very long finish. Much better than I remember from the last bottle, approachable straight away and didn’t feel like it was hiding. Very good. |
