Tasting notes
| Clear medium(-) garnet. Thin slow legs. No noticeable sediment. Medium(+) nose, dark red berries, brambles, earth, mushroom, wet leaves, really aromatic, kept going back for more. Slightly liqueur-like? Palate follows, more fruit than tertiary but enough going on to be interesting, perhaps a little light bodied but certainly not mean. Bright acidity and silky fine tannin, quite grippy but not out of line, good balance. Long finish into cherries and kirsch. Very classic, very nice. |
